This passage resonates so strongly for me. There is such an irony in that the further I move through transition, the more people experience me as Other while I experience myself as increasingly Whole. Before transition, it was ME that experienced me as Other, and others that perceived me as Whole. Your grief, your anomie, your Otherness is incredibly real, and I feel it powerfully here.
