This is a really vivid, visceral description, and perfectly captures how I felt about being called ‘handsome’ or ‘dapper’. Or that I could probably grow a really nice beard. *shiver* Thanks for this…. I just might borrow it sometime as I’m trying to describe what dysphoria felt like to me!
