I’m a trans-femme non-binary person who has just recently found themselves in their first real management position. I’ve been disappointed, though not surprised, to discover that nearly all of the writings on leadership that I find are rooted squarely in the white, cis-het, financially privileged voice, so I was excited to come across this article. Thank you for writing it. What’s really interesting for me to notice here is that the tools and tactics you outline here are anything but novel. These are tried and true techniques. But employing them in service to inclusivity and the disassembly of historical privilege is an entirely new lens through which to view them. I’m definitely bookmarking and sharing this!
